Aisling Bea

Aisling was born on March 16 1984, at Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's most successful and popular comedians. Bea was on the show with Stephen Fry on QI. Aisling Cliodhnadh Sullivan (born 16 March 1984), also known as Aisling bea she is an Irish comedian, writer and actress. Bea's professional career started in 2011 as a comedian following her appearance in a few parts on Irish and British TV shows that began in 2009. From 2012 on, Bea was appearing in sitcoms and sketch comedy. In 2012, after winning an award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began to appear regularly on numerous panel shows for which she is now a regular. In 2016 and 2017 she served as a team leader on 8 Out of 10 Cats. Additionally, she was an actress on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian as well as Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister who is named Sinead. She is only the second ever female to be a winner of the show So You Think You're Funny. Bea is her maiden name to honor her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan was born in Kildare town County Kildare on 16 March 1984. Bea's father Brian was a veterinarian for horses who committed suicide aged three. She did not learn the cause for her father's death until 13 years later. The stage name Bea is a tribute to her father. Bea was the author of an opinion piece for The Guardian, published in 2017 about her experiences dealing with suicide. Bea (and her sister Sinead) were raised in the same home as Helen Moloney who was a instructor and trainer of jockeys who was also a professional jockey. Her family were obsessed with horses and race meetings. Bea had a job as an instructor in the Irish National Stud. From the age of a child, Bea knew that she was not interested in the racing industry. She was more interested in the performing arts.
